Out and about with MCSE’s Social Programme

At Manchester Central School of English we value new cultural experiences for all our students. As the ‘Capital of the Northwest’, Manchester has plenty for people to do with a wide range of museums, theatres, art galleries, cafés and restaurants. For party animals, there are many bars and nightclubs catering for all types of music-lovers.

Here at the school, we have a full social programme with events inside and outside the school. Events at the school include workshops on helpful topics such as going to the doctors, buying bus and train tickets and learning about Manchester. We have discussions and encourage students of all levels to take part in order to improve their speaking ability. We have regular DVD afternoons showing many different kinds of films in English with subtitles.

In addition we organise trips to places in and around Manchester. Recent examples include Manchester United, Liverpool, Chester, Manchester’s Curry Mile restaurants, the nearby national park of the Peak District and the theme park Alton Towers.
