The Staff

The English teachers at MCSE are qualified and experienced professionals. They make lessons enjoyable, engaging and put learning and improvement at the centre of the lesson. There is considerable focus on active studying outside the classroom. Here at Manchester Central School of English we encourage autonomous learning and self study through homework and our e-learning programme.

Students have tests at the end of every week to monitor their progress and they have the chance to discuss any problems during regular tutorials with the Director of Studies.

Our teaching staff have all lived and worked outside the UK, so they understand the problems and challenges facing students living away from home and are happy to help students in their daily life. In addition, we have an

Accommodation and Welfare Officer who, besides placing students in a home stay or other accommodation, can help with anything from university applications to filling in forms for a bus pass.
